Q1: What is your personal health philosophy?
A1: I think having a healthy lifestyle should be very important to us individually but also should be important to us because of our loved ones. We can have all the things in the world but in the end if we don’t have our health, what does it matter what we have?
Q2: How do your eating choices reflect a commitment to health?
A2: I’ve never personally been a fan of being on a diet. I believe that being mindful of what we eat is important. Somehow for me a diet deprives you of some of the things you want. So moderation is important – having a burger and fries every 4-6 weeks isn’t bad. So having a cheat day is okay as long as you don’t overdo it.
Q3: What is your favorite exercise?
A3: I have a bad knee so I can’t run, that’s my favorite, running, if I could do it. So improvising for me is the elliptical and I love the rowing machine – Getting my heart rate up is what I really like. I also like to play golf and to go walking, when I have the opportunity.
Q4: Do you have any health tips to share?
A4: I think moderation is important. What we eat is so important for a number of different reasons. What we eat impacts our health in so many ways we must be aware of it. High cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart diseases are just some of the things that can have a negative impact on our health.
